If you're wandering through the charming streets of Falmouth and looking for a delightful spot to unwind, Provedore, a delightful neighbourhood cicchetti bar and cafe, should be at the top of your list. Nestled at 43 Trelawney Rd, this cafe is not just a place to grab a bite; it embodies the spirit of community dining with a unique twist.

The atmosphere at Provedore is infectious—a buzzing hub where locals and visitors mingle, surrounded by evocative sounds of lively conversation and melodious tunes playing softly in the background. This is a space where you can feel at home, whether you're enjoying a leisurely meal or just popping in for a quick coffee. The intimate setting, paired with warm decor, adds to the charm, making it the perfect retreat, especially when the sun sets.

Provedore shines when it comes to its culinary offerings. The menu is a delightful medley, transitioning from traditional tapas-inspired bites to tantalizing Thai and Malaysian dishes that will ignite your palate. Each plate is crafted with care, presenting an inviting blend of flavours. For example, the white bean stew with pancetta (guisson) is a heartwarming dish—rich in herbs, smoky ham, and garlicky goodness, just begging to be savored with a crusty piece of bread. Fans rave about the homemade ravioli too, lauded for its sumptuous filling that dances on your taste buds.

Customer reviews echo the praises, like that of Arthur Moulding, who describes Provedore as “a gem of a place” with vibrant food and service, urging potential diners to experience it for themselves. Similarly, Spencer Skinner describes it as “one of the best meals” he's ever had, attributing the enchanting dining experience to the chef's evident passion for food. It’s easy to see why so many leave with smiles on their faces and plans to return.

What sets Provedore apart even more is the friendly and attentive service from Tim and Bev, the heart and soul behind this inviting establishment. Sally Dawson, a loyal patron who travels over 260 miles just to dine here, emphasizes the warmth of the atmosphere, stating that the distinctive vibe fosters connections among guests from all walks of life. It truly feels like a gathering of friends at a cozy kitchen table rather than a typical dining experience.

As the day winds down, don’t miss the chance to try one of their fabulously crafted drinks—be it a revitalizing negroni or a refreshing pastis, each sip complements the delicious food. For an extra treat, look for the Leffe 0.0 on the menu, noted by an enthusiastic visitor as a delightful accompaniment to your meal. It’s these little touches that make Provedore truly special.

In conclusion, whether you’re a local or just passing through, Provedore is more than a cafe—it’s a vibrant piece of Falmouth’s culinary landscape. Make it a point to stop by, but remember to arrive early for your seat, especially during dinner when this hidden gem reveals its full charm. Your taste buds will thank you!

What a gem of a place. Great food and service in a buzzy atmosphere. The menu is changing more to Thia / Malaysian from tapas but we had a mixture of both. I've added a photo but it really doesn't do it justice, just go instead.

One of the best meals I've ever had, the chef has an absolute passion for food and you can tell when you taste it. The waitresses were brilliant, although attentive they let you enjoy your food and give you peace. The atmosphere is brilliant in there, the music and the chatting all combined is great. Make sure you get there 10 minutes before they open for dinner as they dont do table bookings and the place is very popular.

Just incredible. Some of the best restaurants are the ones that only do a few dishes but do them extremely well: Provedore is one of those restaurants. Simple, well made food with a friendly service, all at a price that would still be reasonable 5 or 6 years ago. The guisson (white bean stew with panchetta) was deep with the flavour of fresh herbs, garlic and smokey ham, while the ravioli was delicate and expertly made. The prawns were sweet and tender, slathered with a decadent garlic butter. These were all meant to be "small plates"; they were anything but! Despite having lived in Falmouth for a while, this was out first time visiting. It certainly won't be our last!

Found this place on the off chance as we were staying nearby and wanted to avoid the crowds. Cute little neighbourhood bar and restaurant. Small menu but the food is really well done. Order and pay at the bar and take a seat. Meatballs, burrata, ravioli, mackerel pate and chocolate mousse. All superb.

This is my favourite place in the UK to go for a drink and some tasty food. It is totally unique. The people who frequent Provedore are from all walks of life and all ages. Everyone there is pleased to be there and it is so friendly. This is mostly to do with the owners, Tim behind the bar and his wife, Bev, making the lovely food. I live 264 miles from Falmouth but it is the highlight of our trips down to Falmouth four times a year and when I’m at home in Surrey I often wish I was there. It’s that sort of place.

We had a really lovely evening at Provedore – such a welcoming spot with great atmosphere. The hospitality was spot on, friendly without being fussy, and the food was full of flavour and variety. From the tapas plates to the fresh bread, everything felt thoughtfully done. I was especially pleased to find Leffe 0.0 on the menu – a real treat alongside the meal. We’d be more than happy to return and enjoy it all over again.

This intimate family restaurant is so perfect for a small gathering and delicious food and drinks, the rustic vibe is comforting and cozy, like you're at your grandma's house where you're always loved and welcomed. Beautiful place, get there early for a seat out back, you won't regret it!
